On Sunday night Daniel Bryan stepped into the Elimination Chamber and he successfully defended his title against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston.
Kofi got a great reaction during the match, but Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kofi Kingston is not planned to be Daniel Bryan’s challenger for Fastlane or WrestleMania. The plan for WrestleMania 35 is for Bryan to defend his title against someone who will be brought back.
Names who are being discussed include Bray Wyatt, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, John Cena and Batista.
However, it’s being said that Cena is unlikely, and WWE didn’t have a deal with Batista as of a week ago.
Undertaker’s name was brought up a few days ago, even though he wasn’t on the WrestleMania card as of last week.
At this point the aforementioned names are just being discussed and nothing is set in stone, so it seems that Bryan’s WrestleMania opponent is to be determined but there are ideas on the table.
It’s expected that Daniel Bryan’s opponent for the Fastlane pay-per-view will be determined tonight on SmackDown Live.
