WrestleMania season is right around the corner, can you believe that? Time flies doesn’t it? We all know that with WrestleMania season comes WrestleMania rumors, so let’s let the games begin.
Last week it was reported by PWInsider that WWE is looking to book The Undertaker vs John Cena at WrestleMania 32. Of course that was reported prior to Seth Rollins’ injury and the injury has caused WWE to change creative plans. Now the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that as of this week WWE is planning for a John Cena vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 32 which would likely be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
As far as Triple H goes WWE had hopes of booking him to face The Rock so that they could capitalize on The Rock/Ronda Rousey segment from WrestleMania 31. But apparently The Rock and Ronda Rousey are both out of the picture for WrestleMania 32.
There is reportedly some sort of insurance issue that has to do with a movie The Rock will be filming next year that prevents him from wrestling although it’s possible that he could still make an appearance at the event. Rousey has publicly ruled out participation in the event as she will be in Jakarta filming a movie.
The backup plan for Triple H was to have him face Seth Rollins. But due to Seth Rollins’ injury that match is no longer on the table.
Other rumors going around suggest that if WWE does go forward with Taker vs Cena, we could be seeing Reigns vs Lesnar again. In any case regardless of what actually ends up getting booked, we’d like to think the idea for a Reigns/Cena match came to fruition after a brainstorming session that went something like this.
