Thea Trinidad, formerly known as Zelina Vega in WWE, was one of WWE’s most talked about talents just a few months ago, but back in November the company decided to release Trinidad from her contract.
When Thea Trinidad was released from her contract fans immediately started talking about the possibility of her joining All Elite Wrestling, and Tony Khan has also confirmed that he’s interested in bringing her in.
However, it doesn’t sound like fans will be seeing her in All Elite Wrestling anytime soon, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Trinidad has signed some type of contract that prevents her from signing with AEW at the moment.
There’s currently no word on what type of deal she’s signed, or if it’s for another wrestling promotion, but the deal is not with AEW and she’s not allowed to work for another wrestling company.
The contract is said to be somewhat of a short-term deal, so it’s possible that she could end up working with AEW in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
