Backstage News On Why WWE Put Robert Roode In A Tag Team With Dolph Ziggler

For the most part Dolph Ziggler has been a mainstay on WWE programming throughout his career and he’s often drifted through various spots on the card.

Now it looks like Dolph Ziggler is heading back to the tag team division as he was recently paired up with Robert Roode.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode defeated four teams in a tag team turmoil match, and they will now go on to challenge Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the Raw Tag Team Titles at Clash of Champions.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman is a proponent of Robert Roode, so the four wins that he and Ziggler picked up on Monday were meant to be used as a showcase to get him going after he was booked as a nobody for so long.

Do you want to see Ziggler and Roode win the Raw Tag Team Titles at Clash of Champions? Sound off in the comments below.
