Seth Rollins and Riddle have been in a heated feud for weeks now, and Rollins delivered a brutal beatdown to Riddle on the most recent episode of Raw. Following the attack WWE shared a storyline update stating that Riddle is injured and their match at SummerSlam has been postponed.
Fightful Select reports that they were told the injury to Riddle is kayfabe, and WWE has plans to do Riddle vs. Rollins down the line. It’s being said that the match was postponed due to “creative adjustments.”
Talent was informed about the change on Monday and the working plan is for the match to take place at Clash at the Castle in September. However, that’s not final.
Seth Rollins is still set to travel to Nashville for SummerSlam and he was scheduled to be media on Friday, but it’s not known if that’s still planned or not. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
