Backstage News On Why WWE Isn’t Booking Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have both found success in professional wrestling and MMA, and a potential Lashley vs. Lesnar bout has been a dream match that fans have been asking to see for years now. However, WWE hasn’t done much of anything to tease a potential confrontation between Lashley and Lesnar.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Lashley vs. Lesnar match was talked about a lot for SummerSlam, but constantly denied. The feeling was that since Brock Lesnar isn’t coming back for a number of shows right now then he would have to lose the match.

There are those who see Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar with all of the Paul Heyman history as a program that is too big to be weakened by Lesnar taking a loss to Lashley, or Lesnar returning for a match with no finish.

It’s been rumored for months now that John Cena will be returning to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at SummerSlam, and it was recently reported that a big name will be returning to face Lashley. You can get more on that here.
