Liv Morgan has been on a roll over the last few weeks as she won the Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in on Ronda Rousey shortly after to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Naomi and Sasha Banks walking out of WWE is part of the reason why the company is currently pushing Liv Morgan.
When Banks and Naomi left the idea was that SmackDown needed a new top tier Superstar in the women’s division, and Liv was the one who the company picked. It was also noted that the timing worked out because the fans were ready to embrace Liv as a top star.
Liv Morgan will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam on Saturday, July 30. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
