Last week Logan Paul made an appearance on Friday Night SmackDown and he invited Roman Reigns to a press conference in Las Vegas the following day. The Tribal Chief and The Bloodline showed up to the press conference in Las Vegas where it was officially announced that Logan Paul will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE booked the match because Logan Paul is a big deal in Saudi Arabia, and he’s a big deal to the Saudi Arabian prince.
It was noted that tickets in Saudi Arabia mean nothing for the events and adding Logan Paul to the show isn’t an attempt to get TV ratings. The Saudi Arabian prince wants celebrity fights to build the name of Saudi Arabia in the media which is why Logan Paul was booked because the idea is that he will get the type of press they’re looking for.
Crown Jewel will air live on November 5. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
