It seems that The Revival are unhappy with how they’re being used in WWE, and it was recently reported that after their match on Raw the team requested to be released while they were still in ring gear.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is now reporting that The Revival requested to be released due to how little time and respect the tag team division is given in WWE.
The duo is said to be frustrated with their lack of promos, backstage segments, and direction of the tag team division as a whole.
One source pointed to The Club and Authors of Pain as other tag teams who were originally pushed as a big deal, that WWE hasn’t done much with.
The Revival’s frustrations with the division reportedly boiled over on Monday after Raw Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable weren’t featured on the show.
At this point the request for release has been denied, and one source noted that The Revival has “a decent amount of time” left on their contracts.
The two sides have been in contact since Monday, but it’s unclear at this point in time if the situation has been resolved.
