Saturday night was a big night for wrestling fans as WWE Fastlane aired live from Indianapolis, IN and AEW Collision took place from Salt Lake City, UT. Both shows featured tag team title changes as The Judgment Day dropped the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles to Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso while FTR dropped the AEW Tag Team Titles to Big Bill & Ricky Starks.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez recently discussed the AEW Tag Team Title change on Wrestling Observer Radio where it was revealed that Cash Wheeler suffered an injury during FTR’s title defense against Aussie Open at WrestleDream.
Alvarez: “Cash is injured.”
Meltzer: “That’s what it sure appeared to be.”
Alvarez: “Well, he is injured, that’s the story. The story they told on television was it was at the pay-per-view when Aussie Open ran them together, they sold it like he’d injured his rib there.”
At this point in time there’s currently no word on how long Cash Wheeler is expected to be out of action. Stay tuned for more updates on Wheeler’s status as they become available.
