Last week Bobby Lashley put the WWE Championship on the line against Brock Lesnar, Riddle, Austin Theory, AJ Styles and Seth Rollins inside the Elimination Chamber, and it was Lesnar who walked out with the gold.
Bobby Lashley was taken out early in the match after Seth Rollins powerbombed Austin Theory into his pod, so when it came time for his pod to open he wasn’t in it. Instead of waiting for his pod to open Brock Lesnar smashed through his own pod and entered the match early because Lashley was absent.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the idea was for Lashley’s pod to open, but he wouldn’t be in it. Brock Lesnar knew Bobby Lashley was going to be taken out of the match, but he thought that he was next, and he didn’t know Lashley’s pod was going to open without him in it.
Brock knew that the show was running out of time, and he thought that his pod not opening was a mistake, so he broke out. The other talents in the match still had spots to do, but they knew that once Brock entered the match it was just time for them to get destroyed by The Beast Incarnate. It’s being said that if Brock had waited to enter the match the ending likely would have been rushed even more.
