For decades now Paul Wight, known to fans as Big Show, has been a WWE Superstar, but it was revealed earlier today that the former WWE Champion is done with the company, and he’s signed a long-term deal with All Elite Wrestling.
PWInsider reports that Paul Wight and WWE were unable to come to terms on a new deal just days after he appeared on the January 4th episode of Monday Night Raw.
It was also noted that Wight was very open about his unhappiness with the contract situation when he was at Monday Night Raw for Legends Night.
Big Show’s profile was quietly moved to the alumni section of WWE.com on 2/19.
According to AEW’s official press release he will be doing commentary on AEW’s new YouTube show, AEW Dark: Elevation. Dave Meltzer also noted on Twitter that Paul Wight will be wrestling in AEW.
More details are expected to be announced on Dynamite tonight.
