SummerSlam is quickly approaching and the card is loaded with matches that will surely get fans talking, but one match fans won’t be talking about is Sami Zayn vs. Aleister Black.
The match was originally advertised for the pay-per-view, but to the surprise of many it took place on SmackDown Live this week instead of SummerSlam.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that when Vince McMahon showed up and didn’t like SmackDown he tore the whole show apart, and after he was done with the stuff he didn’t like there was still an hour to fill on the show.
One of the ideas that was pitched to fill the hole was to have Sami Zayn face Aleister Black, so the match was moved up to SmackDown Live and removed from the SummerSlam card.
With a few days to go before the show airs it will be interesting to see if WWE makes any more changes to the card.
