This week’s episode of NXT was a big show as it featured an appearance from the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare ran into a few former AEW stars during his time at NXT, and it was also reported that current AEW star Rebel was backstage at the tapings.
Fightful Select is now reporting that NXT sources have confirmed Rebel was at the tapings because she was visiting friends. According to the report she is personally connected with someone who works in NXT.
Rebel has not appeared on AEW programming since 2022, but she is still listed on the company’s official roster page. There’s currently no word on how much time she has left on her AEW contract. Rebel previously appeared on NXT TV back in 2019.
