Vince McMahon and Triple H are two of the most powerful people in the world of professional wrestling, but they were not backstage for the WWE TLC pay-per-view on Sunday night.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Paul Heyman and Bruce Prichard were the ones running the matches backstage, along with the agents.
Vince McMahon did go over everything on the show beforehand via phone, but he wasn’t present for the event.
During the main event Kairi Sane seemed out of it after suffering an injury, and it was noted that people backstage noticed something was wrong, and at least twice the referees talked to Sane and she said she was fine.
It was also noted that no doctor ever came out to look at her, and while Vince McMahon could be at fault for the show itself, he was not at fault for how the Kairi Sane incident was handled.
