Sting first debuted with AEW back in December of 2020, but his run with the company, and his career will be wrapping up at the Revolution pay-per-view in March. While the match has not been officially confirmed just yet it’s been teased that Sting and Darby Allin will be taking on The Young Bucks at Revolution.
Dave Meltzer recently discussed plans for Sting’s final match on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that The Icon will be able to pick the finish for his final match if he decides to.
“Any finish (Sting) wants is gonna be the finish. If he wants to go out on a loss, Tony’s not gonna say no. If he wants to go out on a win, Tony’s not gonna say no.
“Will he pick the finish? I don’t know that. But he will have the ability to pick the finish if he wants to. It’s just a question of… he may not care about the finish.”
At this point it’s not clear how things will play out once we get to Revolution, but if Sting and Darby Allin do defeat The Young Bucks then Sting will end his AEW run with an undefeated streak.
