This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured a very emotional retirement speech from former Divas Champion Paige, and as she said goodbye to the fans we were all left to wonder when we might see her again.
WWE wasted no time bringing Paige back into the picture, as Shane McMahon kicked off SmackDown Live this week and announced that Paige will be the new General Manager on Tuesday nights from here on out.
It was reported several months ago that Paige would not be cleared for in-ring action following an injury she suffered at a WWE live event, so the General Manager position seems like a safe job for her.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the decision to make Paige the SmackDown Live GM was made by none other than Vince McMahon himself.
Speaking of this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Carmella finally cashed in Money in the Bank after Billie Kay and Peyton Royce debuted and decimated Charlotte.
It’s been a week full of highs and lows for Charlotte, as she ended Asuka’s streak at WrestleMania, but lost her Women’s Championship a few days later.
But it appears that she’s looking ahead to the future, as The Queen took to Twitter to say she’s always ready to adjust her crown.
