Oba Femi has been one of the stars to watch over the last few years and he has established himself as a dominant force in NXT. However, it seems that Oba Femi’s time in NXT has come to an end, as he relinquished the NXT Championship against he successfully defended the title against Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil earlier this week.
WWE has been teasing a potential main roster call-up for Femi over the last few weeks as vignettes hinting at his arrival have been airing on Raw and SmackDown.
Bodyslam is reporting that Oba Femi’s name is being discussed for creative plans on the Raw brand. It’s being said that Femi’s presentation has been a major hit with many in the company, and he is viewed not only as a big piece of the future, but also the now.
The main roster has seen an influx of new talent in recent weeks as Trick Williams recently signed with SmackDown, and Je’Von Evans officially joined the Raw brand earlier this week. Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace have been making appearances on the main roster recently, and names like Blake Monroe and Lola Vice are also reportedly being considered to get called up.
