After CM Punk parted ways with WWE in 2014 fans wondered for years if he would ever return to the company and he shocked the world when he returned at Survivor Series. Punk followed up with a promo on Raw this week where he declared that he’s now home.
After CM Punk finished up his promo on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk put his hands in the air and shuffled his feet as he moved around the ring while Raw went off the air. Some fans apparently interpreted the closing moments of Raw as Punk taking a shot at The Young Bucks as they did a victory lap around the ring on AEW Collision the day that Tony Khan announced Punk was fired.
Haus of Wrestling is reporting that people close to CM Punk have said that in no way was he taking a shot at The Young Bucks on Raw. Punk was simply reacting to the moment.
Following his WWE return CM Punk is looking to move past the drama with AEW entirely and he has no plans to address his time with the company. It was noted that if CM Punk were going to take a shot at The Young Bucks it would have been more direct.
One way or another there’s never a dull moment when it comes to CM Punk. As of this writing WWE has yet to reveal when Punk will be appearing on TV again. Stay tuned for updates.
