It’s been a big week for The Revival, as the team reportedly requested their release from WWE after their match on Raw while they were still in their ring gear.
It’s believed that the team is unhappy with the direction of the tag team division in WWE, but with the ever changing landscape in the world of professional wrestling, it seems unlikely that WWE will be granting releases any time soon.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Revival are currently under contract with WWE until April of 2020.
Meltzer also noted that they’ve been thinking about leaving the company for a while now, and it wasn’t a coincidence that Dash Wilder trademarked #FTR earlier this month.
The Revival’s request to be released has not been granted as of this writing, and they worked the recent WWE live events in San Antonio and Abilene.
