On Sunday night AEW Double or Nothing aired on pay-per-view, and The Inner Circle faced off against The Pinnacle in a Stadium Stampede match. The match was full of mayhem, but when it was all said and done it was The Inner Circle that picked up the victory.
According to Fightful Select, the bulk of the Stadium Stampede match was taped last Thursday with some additional filming taking place on Friday.
It’s also being said that Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer was happy to make a cameo in the match and he appeared to enjoy himself during his time on the set.
The editing process for the match was reportedly praised for how quickly it was put together. People backstage were happy with how the match turned out, and with how they were able to integrate the live elements with the taped footage.
Chris Jericho also noted during the post-show media scrum that one of the stunt coordinators who worked on the John Wick films also worked on the Stadium Stampede match.
