For decades Vince McMahon was the man running WWE, and many people assumed that he would never retire. However, earlier this year it was reported that McMahon was being investigated by the WWE board of directors for hush money payments that were used to suppress allegations of misconduct.
Vince McMahon officially announced his retirement in July, and it was recently confirmed that the investigation into McMahon has been completed.
Fightful Select is reporting that those they spoke to in WWE say that they don’t necessarily hear from Vince McMahon much nowadays, but it was noted that he’s been out and about more than he was while he was still part of WWE.
Following Vince McMahon’s retirement it was announced that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would serve as co-CEO of WWE with Triple H taking over WWE creative. Stay tuned for more updates on Vince McMahon as they become available.
