Talks of a possible in-ring return for CM Punk have been going on for years now, and recently some rumors surrounding Punk and WrestleMania have been making the rounds.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon has labeled CM Punk as “one man I just can’t do business with.”
It’s being said that no one at the top level, including Paul Heyman, has argued that point with Vince, and no one has pushed for a Punk return.
Punk’s agent reportedly tried to open a conversation between the two sides and was turned down.
The gig with WWE Backstage on FOX was something FOX wanted, and WWE agreed in order to not make waves in their relationship with the network, but his appearances were limited to one a month.
It’s being said that even those who would argue that a one time WrestleMania appearance would be good were told that Punk devalued himself by making his wrestling return on WWE Backstage instead of holding out for something bigger.
While it’s also being said that you can never say never, there is no interest in Punk right now from WWE.
