Luke Harper is a former Intercontinental Champion, a former SmackDown Tag Team Champion, and he seems to have his fair share of fans in the wrestling world, but Harper hasn’t really been featured on WWE programming since he recently returned.
Harper took to Twitter to publicly announce that he had requested his release from WWE a few weeks ago, but it was reported that the company denied his request and decided to ad six more months to his contract because of the time he missed due to injury.
It seems that Luke Harper is in a tough spot right now, as the company isn’t granting his release request, but there aren’t any plans for him.
He did wrestle EC3 a few weeks ago, and it was reported that Vince McMahon thought the match was bad.
Now Fightful is reporting that one source close to the situation noted that Vince McMahon seemed to have a long term issue with Harper, and whatever happened in the match wouldn’t have mattered, because Vince McMahon “decided to hate anything he was involved in long ago.”
