Vince McMahon made his big return to WWE back in January and he made it clear that he’s looking to sell the company. Since then there’s been a lot of speculation regarding Vince’s involvement with creative as many people have been speculating that he had something to do with setting up the Brock Lesnar vs. Omos match at WrestleMania 39.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared an update on Vince McMahon’s status and it was noted that Vince is not involved with creative from an official standpoint, but Triple H has said that he listens to Vince even though he has the final say.
“Also announced officially was Brock Lesnar vs. Omos. This match has been subject of a ton of speculation, including from the angle where MVP spit alcohol in Lesnar’s face, with people pointing to this as a sign that Vince McMahon is involved with creative. From an official standpoint, McMahon is not involved directly. Paul Levesque has said that he does listen to McMahon. But Levesque also made clear that he has the final say.”
It was recently reported that Vince McMahon is looking to sell WWE for $9 billion dollars, but whether or not he will find a buyer at that price remains to be seen. Stay tuned for updates.
