Vince McMahon had been the most powerful man in WWE for decades, but he retired back in July after it was revealed that a special committee was investigating hush money payments used to suppress allegations of misconduct.
WWE recently issued a press release detailing their third quarter earnings for 2022 and the press release also noted that the investigation into the Vince McMahon allegations has been completed. However, it doesn’t sound like anyone should expect Vince to return to the company.
Fightful Select is reporting that Vince is, “done, done,” and he will not be returning to the roles he previously occupied in the company which were taken over by Triple H and others. A WWE higher up noted that over the last few months morale in WWE has been higher than they’ve seen it in over a decade.
A longtime WWE employee added that everyone in charge realizes Vince returning would be a major step back for the company, and that the third quarter earnings instilled confidence in people who thought Vince McMahon’s retirement would be a major blow to WWE.
