Triple H has been steering the ship for NXT for some time now, but it was reported a few weeks ago that changes were coming to NXT, and plans called for the show to be rebranded.
NXT is set to return to live weekly shows on September 14, and Bryan Alvarez recently noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard will be producing the show when it goes live again.
Dave Meltzer added that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard will be in charge of making the big decisions in NXT, but not the smaller ones. It was also noted that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard may only be booking the top stars on NXT, and the word going around is that NXT will be more like the old NXT moving forward.
Prichard and McMahon will be responsible for the marketing, promotion and direction of NXT, and the September 14 episode is going to be a reset for the brand.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast also noted that Vince McMahon has been hands on with NXT and will continue to be hands on moving forward.
