Vince McMahon made his shocking return to the WWE Board of Directors earlier this month and it’s well known at this point that the Executive Chairman is looking to sell WWE. Whether or not a sale goes through remains to be seen as there are a lot of questions regarding the future of WWE right now.
One thing people seem to be concerned about is Vince McMahon getting involved in creative. Triple H assured talent at a meeting last week that Vince has simply returned to oversee a sale, but during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the feeling is Vince will want to return to TV at some point.
“Vince is at the office, he hasn’t been to TV yet. But I say probably ‘yet.’ There’s certainly rumors running around that he will, I’ve asked people and they wouldn’t be surprised. But it’s not like there’s a date.”
“There’s that feeling that Vince is gonna want to go out on TV and he’ll get the big reaction when he does. But he is in the office, he is talking about things other than the sale, and I think there’ll probably be more and more Vince fingerprints as time goes on. As far as creative goes, it just depends on… if Vince wants it, he’ll work to get it.”
