You never know when a NXT star might get called up and for weeks now fans have been watching LA Knight work as Max Dupri while promoting Maximum Male Models. However, last week Sofia Crawford was called up as Maxxine Dupri and it was reported that Max Dupri was written out of the storyline.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that removing Max Dupri from the storyline was a call made by Vince McMahon. Vince made the decision after an early segment where be blamed Max for being bad on his delivery with some of the lines. Dupri also reportedly spoke up about some of the scripting.
Now that Vince McMahon is gone Max Dupri may resurface if he has supporters, but the idea is that he’s out of the Maximum Male Models storyline.
