Backstage News On Vince McMahon And The Otis Storyline With Mandy Rose

Otis has become one of the most popular Superstars on Friday Night SmackDown over the last few months, and his storyline with Mandy Rose has only helped to increase his popularity.

Regarding the storyline, Andrea Listenberger, a writer who was released during the cuts a few weeks ago, was credited with it.

However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that, a lot, perhaps most of the Otis stuff is from Vince McMahon himself. It’s being reported that Vince McMahon likes the Otis character.

Others have said that Listenberger was the one writing the promos, and that she was a good writer, but she wasn’t the driving force behind the storyline. It’s also being said that there are people on the creative team on the SmackDown side that could have gone to bat for her when the cuts came.

Mandy Rose has also said that she was the one who pitched the idea to Vince McMahon.
