The world of professional wrestling has been quite interesting as of late and Ryan Frederick of the Wrestling Observer recently noted that The Young Bucks sent feelers out to WWE to gauge potential interest when their contracts expire.
Fightful Select reports that this has been an ongoing rumor dating back to August. One source indicated that they’ve been sworn that The Young Bucks asked to speak to someone in WWE management, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Sources close to The Young Bucks say they haven’t been given that indication, and they aren’t even sure who The Young Bucks would reach out to in that regard. It’s also worth noting that Fightful heard people who worked in talent relations outright reached out to AEW talent last month.
Another source who has long worked with higher ups confirmed they hears the rumors, but didn’t ask anyone of influence in WWE because they weren’t sure how it would be received. This person was there in 2018 and noted that The Young Bucks nearly signed with WWE before helping to launch AEW. That same person noted that they likely wouldn’t need to gauge interest and that The Bucks would be taking the temperature on other situations related to potential free agency.
Prior to All Out there was no indication that The Bucks wanted out of AEW, and since then talk of that has remained quiet for obvious reasons.
