This week’s episode of SmackDown was the first three hour episode on the USA Network and it featured a big title match as Nia Jax defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Naomi.
During the match Tiffany Stratton ran down to the ring and hit Naomi with the Money in the Bank briefcase while the referee wasn’t looking. Nia Jax then retained the title when she put Naomi away with the Annihilator.
After the match Tiffany Stratton hit Nia Jax with the Money in the Bank briefcase, threw Candice LeRae out of the ring. Bianca Belair hit Jax with the K.O.D. then Stratton cashed in and hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Jax to become the new WWE Women’s Champion.
PWInsider reports that Tiffany Stratton’s Money in the Bank cash in had been planned for weeks. The cash in was reportedly a well guarded secret and not many knew about the title change before it happened.
Tiffany Stratton’s big WWE Women’s Championship win was planned for the first three hour SmackDown so that the USA Network and Stratton could have a big moment.
