The Money in the Bank premium live event took place from Las Vegas last weekend, and the show featured some interesting moments. Theory defended his United States Championship against Lashley during the event, but unfortunately for Theory it was Lashley who walked out with the gold.
The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match headlined the show and before it kicked off Adam Pearce announced that Theory would be added to the bout. Theory then went on to win the match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that even though Theory was a late addition to the match from a storyline perspective, the plan was always for him to enter the match and win as a surprise.
Now that Theory has the Money in the Bank contract he’s looking ahead to SummerSlam as he recently teased that he could cash in on the winner of Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
