The Rock returned to the ring at WrestleMania 40 and since then there’s been a lot of talk about what the future holds for the former WWE Champion. Rock made a surprise appearance at Bad Blood earlier this month after the main event. Shortly after it was reported that there were no plans for The Rock to work WrestleMania next year, but shortly after Rock seemingly shot those rumors down when he responded to a fan on Instagram with a comment that said, “don’t believe any of that bull****.”

Fightful Select is reporting that sources within the company claim that WWE is a priority for The Rock. The Final Boss is expected to be in the fold here and there, and higher ups who spoke on the subject noted that The Rock made it clear he’s “part of the family” and will make appearances when he’s able to.

Sources at the Intuit Dome are hopeful that The Rock will be available when Raw debuts on Netflix next year, but an appearance has not been confirmed even though there is said to be buzz internally.

Regarding rumors of The Rock not working WrestleMania next year, sources who commented on the rumors didn’t know where that came from, and people who spoke on the subject noted that they hadn’t heard one way or another if Rock will be working Mania.

One source added that it’s hard to predict what The Rock will be doing six months out. Another producer pointed out that if The Rock decides shortly before a show that he wants to make an appearance then he will. Several others have said that they haven’t been told The Rock won’t be appearing at WrestleMania.
