A few days ago WWE announced that Luke Harper, Sin Cara and The Ascension had all been released from their contracts.
Fightful is reporting that backstage the feeling among the talents they spoke with was a feeling of relief for the Superstars who got released. One person reportedly said that they believed they had all asked to be released, so they were happy for all four of them.
While talking about The Revival’s status one person reportedly said, “It’s either a coincidence or next level f–king with The Revival that a bunch of people get granted their releases, but they can’t release them because they have a title match on next weekend’s show.”
It was also noted that a couple members of the NXT roster claimed the word going around is that NXT cuts are expected in January or early February.
Mike Kanellis was one of the talents who publicly requested to be released, but there’s no update on his status.
