WWE fans have seen some interesting departures in 2021, and it was reported recently that Toni Storm had flown home after she worked a triple threat match at a WWE live event.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net is now reporting that Toni Storm paid out of pocket to fly home, and that a source claimed the following: “Turns out, Toni didn’t exactly request her release… she just up and quit. Worked a triple threat at a house show last night and then paid out of her own pocket to fly herself home.”
When it comes to her release it’s being reported that,”WWE is handling it as her asking for her release and then them granting it, because after so many talents were released due to ‘budget cuts’ this year, it’s like ‘meh.'”
A female WWE main roster talent also reacted to the news of Toni Storm parting ways with WWE saying that, “it’s f*cking wild,” and that Storm is just gone and she, “didn’t really tell anyone.”
Storm was called up to the WWE main roster back in July and had recently been involved in a feud with Charlotte Flair on SmackDown. She last competed when she faced off against Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair at the WWE live event in Washington DC on Sunday. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
