It’s been a while since fans have seen John Cena make an appearance on WWE programming as he last competed on TV when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam last year. However, that’s all about to change as WWE is currently promoting Cena’s 20th anniversary with the company, and he’s set to make his return to Monday Night Raw tonight.
Ahead of John Cena’s return WrestleVotes is reporting that there’s excitement in the lock room as it’s being said that Cena’s positive presence is felt throughout the company.
“Aside from the obvious business boost, I’m told the return of John Cena is as exciting for the locker room as it is for the fans. Cena is viewed as the ultimate leader, w/ his positive presence felt throughout the company when he’s around.”
As of this writing WWE has not announced plans for John Cena beyond tonight’s appearance on Raw, but there’s speculation that the company could be setting up a John Cena vs. Theory match for SummerSlam.
