Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw Big E declared that he would be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on the winner of the main event, and he did just that. Bobby Lashley successfully defended the WWE Title against Randy Orton on Raw, and after it was said and done Big E cashed in on Lashley to become the new WWE Champion.
Fightful Select reports that almost everyone believed that Big E would be winning the WWE Championship, and that his title win had been discussed shortly after Money in the Bank.
The majority of the WWE Monday Night Raw roster reportedly stuck around to watch the title change hands on Monday night. There was said to have been “universal elation” for Big E regarding his major title win
It’s also being reported that Big E’s cash in and title victory was something that was decided over the weekend.
