A few weeks ago WWE announced that Sami Zayn had been stripped of the Intercontinental Championship and that a new champion would be crowned via tournament.
AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan earned the right to fight for the title in the finals of the tournament, and it sounds like it’s a match that will get fans talking.
Fightful reports that the Intercontinental Championship match was taped last Tuesday, and that the quality of the match is “unbelievable.”
It’s being said that the match, “legitimately pumped up a very tired Performance Center crowd that was there to cheer.”
The finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament will air on the June 12th episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
