For months now rumors of Edge returning to the ring have been making the rounds, and on Sunday night he put all the rumors to rest when he entered the Royal Rumble match at number 21.
It was later reported by WrestleVotes that the Rated R Superstar has signed a new three year deal with WWE.
WrestleZone and Pro Wrestling Sheet are both reporting that Edge had discussions with All Elite Wrestling and WWE after he stated on his podcast that he felt he could wrestle one more match.
According to reports, AEW made a serious offer to Edge for him to work behind the scenes as a producer, and to wrestle a handful of matches.
Edge’s current deal with WWE will see him wrestle a few matches a year, and also make a number of appearances on WWE TV.
The WWE Hall of Famer cut a promo during the main event segment of Raw this week, and during the segment Randy Orton turned on him and hit him with a RKO, followed by a conchairto, so it seems that WWE is planting the seeds for Orton vs. Edge at WrestleMania 36.
