It’s been a rough week for WWE, as the company announced budget cuts due to the coronavirus, then proceeded to announce quite a few releases from main roster stars, NXT stars, producers and more.
PWInsider reports that people at WWE are acclimating themselves to the new normal after so many people were either furloughed or let go.
One person reportedly noted that it felt like 40% of the company was gone, and several others mentioned having “survivor’s guilt” over their friends and co-workers being gone.
It’s also being said that those who didn’t get cut have far more on their plate moving forward with less manpower to get everything done.
Cuts were made across the board and the live event division was hit especially hard because there are no live events right now. The digital area of the company was also hit hard.
People who were furloughed were told that the company hopes to have them back in July, and that WWE will be covering their benefits in the meantime.
There are said to be a lot of people wondering when, or if they’ll be returning to the company.
