The women of WWE have been making history over the last few years, and they made history once again on Sunday night when they main evented the TLC pay-per-view with the first ever women’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.
Becky Lynch defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka & Charlotte Flair, and Asuka was the one who managed to win the title when it was all said and done.
Over the last few weeks things have gotten heated between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair, and on Sunday night Rousey decided to interfere in the main event.
As Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair were both standing at the top of a ladder, Rousey made her way down to the ring and knocked them off by pushing the ladder over, essentially screwing them both out of a big win.
The fans in attendance booed Ronda Rousey big time when she interfered, and it was clear that they weren’t happy with her actions.
Even though Rousey got a negative response from the crowd, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Rousey’s interference was not meant to turn her heel.
It’s been rumored for weeks now that Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey is penciled in for WrestleMania 35, but it’s probably safe to say that after what happened at TLC, Lynch and Flair will be looking to get revenge on Ronda Rousey as soon as possible.
