CM Punk won the AEW World Championship on Sunday night, and after he made some unflattering comments about The Elite during the post-show media scrum he and Ace Steel were involved in a backstage fight with The Elite. Since then various rumors about the fight have been making the rounds and now it seems that The Elite’s side of the story is being told.
Fightful Select reports that sources close to The Elite say that The Young Bucks went to talk to CM Punk as he told people to do if they had a problem with him. According to their side of the story they opened the door instead of kicking it in like the other side claimed.
Before Matt Jackson could say anything CM Punk allegedly went off and started throwing sucker punches at Jackson’s head. When Nick Jackson tried to intervene Ace Steel allegedly threw a chair that hit Nick in the face.
It’s being said that Kenny Omega got involved because CM Punk’s dog Larry was barking and going nuts, so Omega tried to remove the dog from the situation. Once Omega handed Larry off he tried to get Ace Steel off Nick Jackson, but Steel bit Kenny Omega and pulled his hair.
All sides continued shouting with Punk’s side making legal threats. It was emphasized that this is only one side of the story which is different from the story told from CM Punk and Ace Steel’s side.
