The Elite officially became the first ever AEW World Trios Champions at the All Out pay-per-view back in September, but they haven’t been seen since as several names were suspended following a backstage altercation involving CM Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite.
However, it’s been rumored that The Elite would be returning soon, and this week on AEW Dynamite Death Triangle addressed the rumors and it was confirmed that they will defend the AEW World Trios Championship against The Elite at Full Gear on Saturday.
AEW has been airing videos for weeks now teasing The Elite’s return, and Fightful Select reports that the plan ever since the videos started airing was to have The Elite return at Full Gear. Although they didn’t appear on screen The Young Bucks were reportedly backstage for Dynamite this week.
It was also noted that Don Callis has been backstage on several occasions leading up to The Elite’s return. FulL Gear will air live on Saturday, November 19. Stay tuned for updates.
