The annual WWE Royal Rumble premium live event is only a week away and it’s expected that we’re going to see a few surprises during the show. One way or another it’s sure to be an exciting show and it looks like WWE might be trying some new things this year.
Fightful Select reports that several veterans have contacted WWE about making an appearance at the Royal Rumble. However, WWE is said to be leaning out of that in favor of what’s being called “non traditional surprises.” Last year WWE was adamant about leaning out of NXT appearances at the Royal Rumble.
It’s also being said that WWE is very confident with the women’s roster and how it will play into the Royal Rumble thanks to the hires and call-ups that have taken place over the last year. Last year WWE had to call in veterans as they had a depleted roster due to the mass releases. Jason Cade is also being brought in to help and Tyson Kidd will be there as well.
The Royal Rumble will air live on Saturday, January 28th from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Stay tuned for more updates on the event as they become available.
