Ronda Rousey wrestled her first singles match in WWE on Sunday night when she challenged Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship, but unfortunately for Rousey the match didn’t exactly go her way.
Rousey went to war with Nia Jax, but their battle was interrupted when Alexa Bliss made her way down to the ring and beat down Jax and Rousey with the Money in the Bank briefcase, then cashed in on Jax to become the new Raw Women’s Champion.
The next night Rousey got revenge on Bliss when she hit the current Raw Women’s Champion, and General Manager Kurt Angle with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Kurt Angle later suspended Rousey for 30 days due to her actions.
It looks like we’re just seeing the beginning of the Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss rivalry, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that current plans call for Bliss to defend her title against Nia Jax at Extreme Rules, and then face Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam.
Even though Ronda Rousey is suspended from appearing on WWE programming, she will be in action at the following live events: 6/24 in Anaheim, 7/6 in Philadelphia, 7/7 in Madison Square Garden and 7/8 in Bridgeport, CT.
