This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured the return of Shawn Michaels, and the Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on The Undertaker’s big upcoming match with Triple H at Super Show-Down in October.
Michaels said that he believes Triple H is going to beat The Undertaker, and his prediction prompted The Undertaker to make his way down to the ring.
Shawn said that he stayed retired out of respect for Taker, and The Deadman got under HBK’s skin when he asked, “is it respect, or is it fear?”
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the working idea internally is that Shawn Michaels is coming out of retirement.
As of right now Michaels won’t be working a singles match, but the target date for his return is 11/2 in Saudi Arabia.
Vince McMahon generally doesn’t like to promote matches that he can’t deliver, and it’s being said that talk of HBK’s return is likely more than just speculation since the Taker/Michaels segment overshadowed the match that they were promoting in Australia.
It’s possible HBK could work WrestleMania, but the Saudi Arabia shows are bigger for the company financially, and there was a big push to get him on the Greatest Royal Rumble back in April.
