Backstage News On Seth Rollins’ WWE Status Following WrestleMania 40

It was a busy weekend for Seth Rollins as he teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock & Roman Reigns during night one of WrestleMania 40 and then he defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre on night two.

Unfortunately for Seth he and Cody were defeated by The Rock & Roman Reigns on night one, and he ended up dropping the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre on night two before Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Seth was not on Raw the next night and it seems that he’ll be off TV for a little while moving forward.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Seth Rollins will be taking time off following WrestleMania 40. As of Monday morning the hope was that Seth would only need about four weeks off.

Dave Meltzer shared more details on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that Seth Rollins will be taking time off to rest the knee that he injured back in January.

“Seth is taking time off for injury. I’ve heard not that long but it’s the knee thing, he’s just got to rest the knee up for a little while.”

Stay tuned for more updates on Seth’s status as they become available.
