This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off with a fiery promo from Seth Rollins, and the Intercontinental Champion held nothing back as he ripped on Baron Corbin.
Rollins blamed Corbin for Raw’s low ratings, and told him that he didn’t know how to use the stars on the roster correctly. He addressed all of the things fans have been complaining about on social media as of late, and even though the delivery was heartfelt, the promo wasn’t written by Rollins himself.
Fightful reports that the promo was all scripted, and almost no one has creative freedom in the ring or outside of it.
With the exception of a few rare instances, all in-ring stuff has to be run by an agent on Raw or SmackDown Live.
Despite the lack of creative freedom, backstage morale in WWE is said to be high, even though there are exceptions most talents who work for the company seem to be happy.
With negative reviews for Raw piling up, and ratings at an all time low, fans who are still watching are waiting to see how WWE will turn things around.
The company recently announced that Vince McMahon will be returning to Raw on Monday, and the Chairman of the Board plans to shake things up.
