Over the last few months Rusev has been involved in one of the biggest angles on WWE programming, but he hasn’t been appearing on Raw as of late.
It was recently reported that Rusev has been off TV due to a contract dispute with WWE, but it was also announced a few days ago that he will be competing in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match at Super ShowDown on 2/27.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Rusev being booked for the match at Super ShowDown is not a sign that his contract issues with WWE have been settled.
It was also noted that he still has plenty of time left on his current deal. Lana signed a new five year deal with WWE back in November, but it’s not known when Rusev’s current contract expires.
He last worked on Raw when he teamed up with Liv Morgan and faced Bobby Lashley and Lana in a losing effort on the January 20 episode.
